Rayagada is the District Head Quarters of Rayagada District in Odisha. It is well connected with Rail and Roads. Direct Train facility is available from Rayagda to Raipur, Bhopal, Nagpur, Kolkota, Delhi, Ahamadabad, Dwarika, Bengelor and Chenai. Towards South side , to Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Bengelor, Tiruvandrapuram and Chennai, and to Koraput, Jeypore and jagadalpur towards Western side. Direct Train facility is also available to Ahamadabad, Dwarika of Gujurat State and from East, katak and Bhubaneswer by direct train and bus routes through odisha and simandhra.
The nearer Air port is at Visakhapatnam 200 Kms towards South, to Raipur 340 Kms, towards North, and 506 Kms. At Bhubaneswar (Odisha) towards East of Rayagada. A pilgrim can reach from Air port either by Train or road conveniently. Maa Majhi Gahariani temple is 2 Kms from Rayagda Railway Station and ½ km from Bus-Stand and can reach the Temple by Auto-Rickshaw or Taxi.
